Prophetic Supplications: Relief from Grief and Hardship

Relief from Grief and Hardship

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) taught the verse of Sovereignty (Surah A’l Imran, verses 24 and 25) to Ma'adh ibn Jabal and said: 'Whenever a Muslim has sorrow, distress, or debt and recites this verse and supplication, Allah will relieve his grief, remove him from hardship, and settle his debt:

SAY: ''O Allah, Holder of control! You give control to anyone You wish and snatch control from anyone You wish. You exalt anyone You wish and humble anyone You wish. Good lies within Your hand; You are Capable of everything! You wrap night up in daylight, and wrap daytime up in night. You draw the living from the dead, and draw the dead from the living. You provide for anyone You wish without any reckoning!

O Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter, and Merciful of them both, You give from them what You will and withhold from them what You will. Settle my debt for me and relieve my anxiety.

Even If you owe gold equivalent to the size of the earth, Allah will settle your debt.
