- Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&HF): Whenever one of you is needy and brings that to other people, he will not be satisfied. and Whenever someone is needy and brings that to Lord, he shall give him what he wants. sooner or later.
- Imam Sadiq (As.): Whenever you had tenderness in your heart, Pray. because your heart doesn't get tender unless it's pure.
- I told to Imam Baqir (A.S): “What is the meaning of “truly, Ibrahim was awwah and patient”? He replied: “Awwah means (the one who is) praying (to) and wailing (for God) a lot.””
- “Two people, who have acted alike, enter the heaven, but one of them sees the other one in a higher place. Then, he says: O’ Lord! How come has he a superior place in comparison to me while we acted alike? God the Almighty replies: “because he asked Me (whatever he needed) and you did not do that”.
- “The most knowledgeable person to God is the one who asks more from Him”
- “Whoever prays a lot, the angels say: This voice is familiar (to us) and this is the supplication which is accepted and this is the need which is provided”
-
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his Household):
-
If you knew god the way you should’ve known, Mountains definitely will be moved by your supplications. - Crying out of fear of God is the key to his mercy, it’s a sign for his acceptance and it’s a door to answering [supplications]
- Pray to God and believe in his answeres. But understand that God won't accept prays from an unwitting oblivious heart.
Seeking Forgiveness for Mortal Sin
O Mohammad, tell whoever has committed a major sin from your nation and wants to erase it and purify himself from it, to cleanse his body and clothes for me. Then he should go out to the wilderness of my land and face my countenance, meaning the Qibla, where no one could see him. Then he should raise his hands to me, for there is no barrier between me and him, and he should say:
O Vast in the exquisiteness of His profit, O Enrober of us in the grace of His mercy, O Majestic in the intensity of His sovereignty, O Merciful, in every place, of a blind person whom harm has befallen, so he comes out to You seeking help from You, returning to You, fearing You, saying: I have done wrong and wronged myself, and for Your forgiveness I have come out to you seeking refuge with you in my exit from the fire, and by the dignity of Your majesty, I have surpassed, forgive [me], O Munificent one, and in Your name which You have named and made in all Your greatness and with all Your power and in all Your sovereignty, and you made it in Your grasp, and you illuminated it with Your book, and you clothed it with dignity from You. O Allah, O Allah, I ask You to bless upon Mohammad and the family of Mohammad, and to erase from me what I have come to You with, and remove my body from its like, for indeed with You, there is no god but You, I hold fast, and in Your name in which the details of all matters are, I am believer. This is my confession to You, so do not forsake me, and grant me well-being, and deliver me from the mortal sin, I am perished, so save me by the right of all Your rights, O Generous one.
If he does not intend anyone, by what I have commanded you, other than Me, I absolve him of his major sin until I forgive it for him and purify him perpetually from it, because I have taught you names by which I answer the supplicant.
