- Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&HF): Whenever one of you is needy and brings that to other people, he will not be satisfied. and Whenever someone is needy and brings that to Lord, he shall give him what he wants. sooner or later.
- Imam Sadiq (As.): Whenever you had tenderness in your heart, Pray. because your heart doesn't get tender unless it's pure.
- I told to Imam Baqir (A.S): “What is the meaning of “truly, Ibrahim was awwah and patient”? He replied: “Awwah means (the one who is) praying (to) and wailing (for God) a lot.””
- “Two people, who have acted alike, enter the heaven, but one of them sees the other one in a higher place. Then, he says: O’ Lord! How come has he a superior place in comparison to me while we acted alike? God the Almighty replies: “because he asked Me (whatever he needed) and you did not do that”.
- “The most knowledgeable person to God is the one who asks more from Him”
- “Whoever prays a lot, the angels say: This voice is familiar (to us) and this is the supplication which is accepted and this is the need which is provided”
-
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his Household):
-
If you knew god the way you should’ve known, Mountains definitely will be moved by your supplications. - Crying out of fear of God is the key to his mercy, it’s a sign for his acceptance and it’s a door to answering [supplications]
- Pray to God and believe in his answeres. But understand that God won't accept prays from an unwitting oblivious heart.
Prophetic Supplications: Alleviation of Difficulty
Alleviation of Difficulty
Ibn Abbas narrated: Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) approached the Prophet (PBUH&HF) and asked him something, so the Prophet (PBUH) said to him, "O Ali, by the One who sent me with the truth as a Prophet, I possess neither a little nor a lot, but I will teach you something that Gabriel brought to me from my Lord. He said, 'O Mohammad, this is a gift for you from Allah, the Almighty, who has honored you with it, which He did not give to anyone before you among the Prophets. It consists of nineteen letters, by which no distressed, worried, grieved, or saddened person calls upon Allah except that Allah relieves him. It consists of nineteen letters: four of them are written on the forehead of Israfil, four on the forehead of Michael, four around the Throne, four on the forehead of Gabriel, and three wherever Allah wills." So Ali ibn Abi Talib asked, "How should we invoke with them, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Say:
O Pillar of the one who has no other pillar, O Treasure of the one who has no other treasure, O Support of the one who has no other support, O Protector of the one who has no other protector, O Helper of the one who has no other helper, O Generous in forgiveness, O Beautiful in affliction, O Great in hope, O Honor of the weak, O Rescuer of the drowning, O Savior of the perishing, O Beneficent (Good Doer), O Beautifier, O Bestower of blessings, O Granter of favors, You are the One Whom the darkness of night prostrates to, the light of day, the moonlight, the sun's rays, the sound of water, the rustle of trees, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You are the One, there is no partner to You.
Then say:
O Allah, do this (mention your needs) for me.
You will not have risen from your place but that by the will of Allah (PBUH&HF) your supplication will have been answered.
