- Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&HF): Whenever one of you is needy and brings that to other people, he will not be satisfied. and Whenever someone is needy and brings that to Lord, he shall give him what he wants. sooner or later.
- Imam Sadiq (As.): Whenever you had tenderness in your heart, Pray. because your heart doesn't get tender unless it's pure.
- I told to Imam Baqir (A.S): “What is the meaning of “truly, Ibrahim was awwah and patient”? He replied: “Awwah means (the one who is) praying (to) and wailing (for God) a lot.””
- “Two people, who have acted alike, enter the heaven, but one of them sees the other one in a higher place. Then, he says: O’ Lord! How come has he a superior place in comparison to me while we acted alike? God the Almighty replies: “because he asked Me (whatever he needed) and you did not do that”.
- “The most knowledgeable person to God is the one who asks more from Him”
- “Whoever prays a lot, the angels say: This voice is familiar (to us) and this is the supplication which is accepted and this is the need which is provided”
-
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his Household):
-
If you knew god the way you should’ve known, Mountains definitely will be moved by your supplications. - Crying out of fear of God is the key to his mercy, it’s a sign for his acceptance and it’s a door to answering [supplications]
- Pray to God and believe in his answeres. But understand that God won't accept prays from an unwitting oblivious heart.
Prophetic Supplications: Responded Supplication
Responded Supplication
The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever invokes these names, Allah the Almighty will respond to him." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "If these names were invoked upon iron sheets, the iron would melt by the will of Allah the Exalted." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "By the One who sent me truly as a Prophet, if a person reached the extreme of hunger and thirst, and then invoked these names, his hunger and thirst would be relieved." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "By the One who sent me as a true Prophet, if a person invoked these names against a mountain between him and the place he wanted to reach, the mountain would split open for him to pass through as he desired." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "By the One who sent me as a true Prophet, if these supplications were recited near a madman, he would be cured of his madness. And if it were recited near a woman experiencing difficulty in giving birth to a child, indeed, Allah would ease that for her." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "If a person were to invoke this supplication while his city was on fire, and his house was in the middle of it, his house would be saved and not burn." And [he (PBUH&HF) said:] "If a person were to recite this supplication for forty nights of Fridays, Allah the Almighty would forgive him all his sins between him and Allah, the Exalted, even if he had committed incest with his mother." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "By the One who sent me as a true Prophet, no distressed person has invoked these names except that Allah, the Generous, has relieved his distress in this world and the Hereafter, by His mercy." And he (PBUH&HF) said: "By the One who sent me as a true Prophet, no one has invoked these names in the presence of a tyrannical ruler before meeting him and looking at him, except that Allah made that ruler compliant to him and protected him from his evil, if Allah, the Exalted, wills. And the names are these which you [should] recite:
O Allah, indeed, I ask You, O the One who is veiled by the rays of His light from the sight of His creation, O the One who is cloaked in Majesty and Greatness, and is renowned for His Omnipotence in His Holiness, O the One who is exalted in Grandeur and Magnificence in the uniqueness of His glory, O the One whose affairs are willingly obedient to His command, O the One before whom the heavens and the earths stand responsive to His call, O the One who adorned the sky with the rising stars and made them as a guide for His creation, O the One who illuminated the radiant moon in the dark of the night with His grace, O the One who brightened the radiant sun and made it a means of sustenance for His creation, and a separator between night and day by His greatness, O the One who deserves all gratitude for spreading the abundance of His blessings,
I ask You by the lofty positions of honor from Your Throne, and the ultimate mercy from Your Book, and by every name of Yours with which You have named Yourself or kept it exclusively with You in the knowledge of the unseen, and by every name that You have revealed in Your Book or inscribed in the hearts of the rows of angels surrounding Your Throne, so that the hearts returned to the chests, in sincerity of oneness and affirmation of singleness, acknowledging Your divinity, and that indeed, You are Allah, You are Allah, You are Allah, there is no god but You,
And I ask You by the Names with which You manifested Yourself to the Interlocutor [Prophet Moses] upon the Mighty Mountain, so when the radiance of the veils of glory appeared, the mountains crumbled, shaking in the face of Your Greatness, Your Majesty, and Your Awe, fearing Your wrath, dreading You. So, there is no god but You, there is no god but You, there is no god but You.
And I ask You by the Name by which You have cleaved the magnificent eyelids of the beholders, by which the management of Your wisdom and the witnesses of the evidences of Your Prophets recognize You through the insight of their hearts, while You are in the depths of the secrets of the hidden matters. I ask You by the might of that Name to send blessings upon Mohammad and the family of Mohammad, and to avert from me all calamities, afflictions, conditions, illnesses, mistakes, sins, doubts, polytheism, disbelief, hypocrisy, discord, anger, ignorance, hatred, misguidance, hardship, distress, corruption of conscience, descent of retribution, gloating of enemies, and dominance of men. For indeed, You are the All-Hearing all the supplications, the Subtle in what You will, and send blessings upon Mohammad and the family of Mohammad, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
