- Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H&HF): Whenever one of you is needy and brings that to other people, he will not be satisfied. and Whenever someone is needy and brings that to Lord, he shall give him what he wants. sooner or later.
- Imam Sadiq (As.): Whenever you had tenderness in your heart, Pray. because your heart doesn't get tender unless it's pure.
- I told to Imam Baqir (A.S): “What is the meaning of “truly, Ibrahim was awwah and patient”? He replied: “Awwah means (the one who is) praying (to) and wailing (for God) a lot.””
- “Two people, who have acted alike, enter the heaven, but one of them sees the other one in a higher place. Then, he says: O’ Lord! How come has he a superior place in comparison to me while we acted alike? God the Almighty replies: “because he asked Me (whatever he needed) and you did not do that”.
- “The most knowledgeable person to God is the one who asks more from Him”
- “Whoever prays a lot, the angels say: This voice is familiar (to us) and this is the supplication which is accepted and this is the need which is provided”
-
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his Household):
-
If you knew god the way you should’ve known, Mountains definitely will be moved by your supplications. - Crying out of fear of God is the key to his mercy, it’s a sign for his acceptance and it’s a door to answering [supplications]
- Pray to God and believe in his answeres. But understand that God won't accept prays from an unwitting oblivious heart.
When Afflicted with Drought and Starvation
O Mohammad, and whoever is afflicted with drought from your nation, I only test the sinful with drought, so they should all together seek refuge in me and their wrongful ones should seek refuge in me and say:
O our Helper in our religion, by enlivening our souls with what He has spread over us of His provision, a great matter has descended upon us which none other than its Revealer can remove it from us. O Revealer of it, the servants have failed to relieve it, and the bodies have reached on the brink of destruction, and if the bodies perish, the religion perishes. O Judge of the servants and Arranger of their affairs by the dividing and decreeing their provisions, do not place anything between us and Your provision, and bless us with what we have attained of Your honor, as we are here to only ask You. Those of Your creation who are innocent have been afflicted by our sins, so have mercy on us through the one whom You have made worthy of that when You are asked by, O Most Merciful, do not withhold from the people of the earth what is in the heavens, and spread over us Your mercy, and extend Your shelter over us, and return to us with Your acceptance, and protect us from temptation in religion and worldly affairs, and the gloating of the disbelieving people. O Possessor of benefit and harm, if indeed, You save us, it is not due to any good deeds we have done before, but to complete the mercy and blessing upon us, and if You reject us, it is not due to any injustice from You, but due to our misdeeds, so forgive us before our departure and turn us back with the fulfillment of the need, O Most Great.
For if he does not intend anyone other than Me from what I have commanded you [O Mohammad], I will turn severity into ease, fear into security, and hardship into ease for the people of that town, and that is because I have taught you a great supplication.
